Understanding the book progress screen
The book progress screen serves as your central dashboard for any individual book in your library. You can access this screen by tapping on a book cover from your main library. It provides a detailed overview of your reading progress, notes, and other essential information all in one place.
Progress Overview
At the top of the screen, you'll find the Progress section. This area gives you a quick, visual summary of how far you are in the book and an estimate of how much time is left to finish it based on your reading speed.
- Progress Bar: Shows your completion percentage.
- Time Remaining: An estimate of the time needed to finish the book, calculated from your past reading sessions.
- All Reading Sessions: A link that takes you to a detailed history of all your reading sessions for this book.
Where You Left Off
The Where You Left Off section helps you jump back into your reading by providing a summary generated from your most recent notes. This allows you to quickly recall key plot points or ideas before you start a new session. Tap All Notes to view, edit, or sort all notes you've taken for the book.
Characters and Additional Info
Further down the screen, you can manage character details and view publication information.
- Characters: This is where you can find character summaries generated from your notes or add and describe them manually. Tap All Characters to manage them.
- Additional Info: This section displays the book's metadata, including the total number of pages, release year, publisher, and ISBN.
Tips for Using This Section
Before starting a new reading session, glance at the Where You Left Off summary to refresh your memory. This can help you get back into the flow of the story more quickly.
